Sterile Storage Cabinets

A sterile storage system in a hospital is a critical infrastructure designed to maintain the sterility of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment after they have been through a sterilization process. The goal is to prevent contamination and ensure that these items are safe for use in patient care, particularly during surgical procedures and other sterile interventions

Ideally the storage cabinets are located adjacent to the sterilization area (e.g., Central Sterile Supply Department – CSSD) and close to the point of use (e.g., operating rooms, procedure rooms).

Different designs of storage systems can be installed flush into a modular wall system or utilized freestanding because of the modular components, which can be planned in single or larger quantities based on the amount of storage space needed.
