Pendant System

Pendants are sophisticated and essential systems in modern hospitals, playing a vital role in delivering utilities, supporting equipment, and optimizing the surgical environment for improved safety, efficiency, and patient care. When selecting OT pendants, hospitals consider factors like the types of surgeries performed, the amount of equipment needed, the size and layout of the operating room.

These ceiling-mounted systems are intended to provide essential medical gases, electricity, data connections, and support for a range of medical equipment and gadgets straight to the operating room or patient’s bedside.

Types of OT Pendants

Single-Arm Pendants:
One articulating arm that extends from the ceiling mount is featured. They are appropriate for providing a targeted set of services and support equipment for a particular purpose (e.g., endoscopy or anesthesia).

Double-Arm Pendants:
With two articulating arms, these pendants can support more equipment and services and have a wider reach.
These are often used for both the surgical and anesthesia teams.

Rigid Pendants (Column Type):
These are made out of a fixed column that hangs from the ceiling and has mounting holes and outlets. They are more stable than arm-based pendants, but they are less adjustable in terms of placement.

Motorized Pendants:
With the push of a button, enable automated vertical and horizontal movement using electric motors to provide exact positioning.
